What You’ll Do:
1. Research and Analysis:
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and industry developments
• Analyze competitor offerings and market gaps to inform product development strategies
2. Conceptualization and Design:
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to generate product ideas and concepts
• Translate conceptual concepts into tangible prototypes, considering factors such as material selection, color schemes, and design development
3. Product Development:
• Lead the product development lifecycle from inception to order placement ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints
• Manage communication with vendors and overseas suppliers
• Ensure launch timeline and alignment across cross-functional teams
• Provide guidance to Sales, Production, Marketing teams in all product related matters
• Exhibit a team-oriented mindset and a passion for product development
• Maintain attention to detail, thoroughness, and a commitment to on-time project completion
• Efficiently multi-task and adapt to the changing needs of the business
4. Quality Assurance:
• Establish quality standards and specifications for all furniture products, conducting testing and evaluation procedures
• Identify and address any quality issues or production challenges to uphold product integrity and customer satisfaction
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop effective product messaging, promotional materials and sales strategies
• Provide product training and support to internal stake holders and external partners as needed
Qualifications:
• 3-6 years Product Development and management experience, furniture/home goods preferred
• 4+ years of college education. Furniture design, merchandising, interior design preferred
• Strong understanding of product budgeting, product performance requirements, materials, and production processes
• Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships with a service-oriented approach
• Independent, self-motivated, and capable of acting as an owner in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Skilled communicator with experience in resolving complex issues through communication with both domestic and international partners
